What does everyone carb their imperial stout to?

I guess the title says it all lol. I know they dont really absorb carbonation like other beers do because of the high ABV, but curious what everyone does theirs at? Im going one this weekend and "planning" on lettin git sit on carbonation for 6 months. Thanks everyone.

It's not the high ABV, it's the high final gravity, that slows the uptake of CO2 applied to the head space. The higher the FG the slower the carbonation rate at "chart pressure" carbonation (ie: "set and forget").

If bottling, or dispensing with CO2, I would aim for 1.8-2 volumes of CO2. Otoh, if dispensing with beer gas through a stout faucet (what I do) I carbonate to 1.2 volumes on straight CO2 before putting the keg on 70/30 beer gas @ 35 psi in the keezer...

Thanks Day trrippr, this is gonna be my first high gravity beer so im kinda nervous about it coming out right. I did a neipa that came in at 7.1 but this one is pushing 11.3 hopefully.
