I am curious as to what some folks do to filter their wort before the plate chiller. I bought paint strainer bags but unsure how to apply them.
What do you do?

Cheers

I use a household water filter housing with a rolled up piece of 300 micron ss screen inside as the filter element. Built it for about $40 and it works flawlessly.

Thanks for all the input.
I don't have a pump and I use my burner stand for gravity so my options are limited.
I don't think a filter for me is an option, therefore I need to limit the amount of crud that gets there. I use pellet hops so utilize hop bags, and leave as much trub in the bottom of the keggle is my plan. Maybe even use my little immersion chiller for the last few gallons.
Then backflush the chiller, pbw soak, flush, starsan is my plan.
