Can anyone give some pros and cons for my mash tun and filtering system? Maybe I need to change something...

The filtering system was a bit more expensive the a usual one but...my dad helped me.

Looks nice for a batch sparge. If you want to fly sparge, it isn't symmetric, so you would get uneven flow rates through the grain bed. That isn't a concern at all for batch sparging but would limit your efficiency in fly sparging.

Thank's. I only plan to do batch sparge. :)

Uh, well...it's...different.

If this were mine, my primary concern would be the amount of grain that could get in between everything where I couldn't get a spoon to stir up the grains, which would lead to dough balls and reduced efficiency. So I would make sure to put a lot of strike water in the pot first, definitely enough to cover the manifold, and then start to add the grain while I continued to add water and stir. Maybe even add all of the water first and then add the grain.

A lesser concern might be the mesh on the screens being a bit too fine. But they should be okay. Only one way to find out for sure.

My concern would be the diameter of the screens... once the tops are out of the wort your flow will stop won't it? I think you will be leaving behind a lot of sweet wort to dead space in that.
