What did I cook this weekend.....

I cooked nothing this weekend, but I did remove, disassemble, replace seals, reassemble, and reinstall a leaking pool pump. So we went out and ate Italian food yesterday. Oh what I would give to be able to make the dish I usually get from there. Gianni's Special. Chicken sautéed with sausage, ham. roasted peppers, black olives, mushrooms, in a white wine cream sauce with a touch of marinara. Just AMAZING. Part of the secret is that they make their own Italian Sausage daily and it is to die for. I have made Italian sausage a few time, but never one like theirs. All the other ingredients are top notch, and the sauce is just over the top. They make it sound simple as a "white wine cream sauce with a touch of marinara" but it can't possibly be that simple.

This dip with warm pita is just great
Just by the look from your photo of the dip above, it looked stellar. I will be roasting the peppers myself as that is a very easy step to complete.
Thank you for the info.

Steak night, local market had the porterhouse on sale for 7.99 lb and Long Island corn at a good price as well.

cod at my Costco
It's a very recent addition (Roseville, Mi.). Price is what got me to buy. I'll have to check that Mahi out; I'm thinking that baking that cod has put me on a fish kick for a while.
Edit: the one thing I wasn't thrilled by was the wasteful packaging that can't be recycled--I, at least, couldn't find the chasing arrow symbol. Long, clear-plastic base and then vacu-sealed.

Just a little pku, see some beautiful dishes. Super excited to share results of something learned here. Generally I dont like crockpot dishes other than large cuts like corned beef, pork, or nacho cheese sauce. Basically never use ours. But rubbed a pork butt with nice olive oil, rubbed it with killer hogs rub, and put in with no liquid. Chopped an onion in there too. Omg, not to bad, nothing like smoked but was so good with lillie q Carolina sauce. Super cool learned technique here.

Yum, Merry! I had butter chicken on my menu plan for this week but it has been too hot. Maybe next week....
It was 67 degrees yesterday morning here! Got that urge to start cooking all those awesome fall and winter foods like hearty soups and stews!!! (Of course it was back in the mid 90's by the afternoon :( lol)

Sadly, after I prepped 200 lobsters by cutting them down the middle from the top and "guacamole" came out, I've been unable to eat that delicious meat ever since. Was so long ago but I think I was prepping for Lobster Thermidor.
Similarly, I bought a bag of White Castle and there was an exit festival from both ends. First time I seriously considered going to the Emergency Room.
Hi, I like to overshare!
