Valentine's dinner at home.

Hop & sour soup on the right (slightly lighter color than one would get at a restaurant).

Steamed fish on the left, topped with pan-fried garlic and coriander, served with a gravy made of light soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine and a bit of rock sugar.

Brioche with Neufchatel cheese.
Wagyu tenderloin with crimini mushroom reduction
Parsnip gelato with braised baby carrots
Italian wedding soup
and to top it off, I made a croquembouche

All served with beer I had made by importing 5 Trappist monks here a few months back.

Did I Woodpile Drunk that one enough???

My take on Poblano Chicken Guadalajara. Original recipe has you dredge the chicken in flour then fry it in butter, which, while awesome, has a ton of carbs and even more fat,so I grill the chicken to make it more acceptable to SWMBO! Just eat it or serve it on flour tortillas like tacos!

Wow those are some vividly green 'chiladas! :ban:

I love the green ones too.

The sauce is essentially a bechamel sauce with spinach, cilantro and roasted and peeled poblano and jalapeño pureed into it. It's definitely very green and it's delicious.
