For some reason I was craving crappy, cheap, ramen. So I kicked it up a few notches...

Anybody doing anything fun for Superbowl?

It's just KOTC and me, so it will be pretty simple - hot wings with homemade bleu cheese dip, celery sticks, red bell pepper strips, homebrewed beer. I MIGHT make some clam dip too, not sure yet - do we NEEEEEED two kinds of cream cheese based dips? LOL!

OR I have some ripe avocados, might just make a little guacamole and have that with our homemade tortilla chips.

Anybody else?

Let's see.

-Corned beef empanadas
-Szechuan wings
-Adobo/pepper wings
-Bacon-wrapped Shrimp
-Twice-baked potatoes (bacon, broccoli, cheddar cheese, fresh parsley, jalapeño peppers)

And lots of beer.

Something about that mix I can't enjoy. I'd like to try authentic Gumbo in case I did something wrong, but one time I made it and was not happy.

Nothing special for SB last night. Leftover meatballs and mushroom soup gravy. Leftover Chicken dill Pizza from the brewery nearby. Salad (Because some other family members are trying a more healthy diet and lifestyle!) and I made egg drop soup.

I'm ready for something new and exciting. Trouble will be getting others here to try it. Most of them aren't interested in exploring unusual cuisine.

Veracruz-style baked red snapper.

Sauce is stir-fried first. Amazing flavors - big green olives, capers, marinated jalapenos, cherry tomatoes, onions and garlic (fresh oregano on the left side of the frying pan is waiting to be stirred in).

One of my favorite dishes; I have to have this at least once every couple of weeks.

The Mrs and I bought our first house two weeks ago, and after 2 weeks of completely demo-ing the place and remodeling we finally have our first home cooked meal. The range has yet to be hooked up (thats tomorrow's chore) so we had everything bbq'd and store bought (potato salad). Tri-tip with grilled veggies and potato salad pair with a 2014 private selection merlot made by one of my clients

Congrats on the new house! You are now officially entered into the ranks of those who own money pits! :)

Your pastas always look amazing! :mug:

Is the pasta itself homemade as well? I use KA attachment sometimes, but that only gets me flat pastas.

Thank you!

I usually make my own pasta using the KA attachment also. But this pasta I smuggled back from Italy last year. It's called pici and it is like real thick spaghetti. I've made it before and it is a ton of work! You have to hand roll each noodle so it takes a lot of time.
