The big Cruset pot is by far my favorite pot. I've only had it for about 8 years and have pretty much warn out the ceramic coating on the inside near the bottom!

Hey, Thanks for the link. I have a couple of Le Creuset pots that are pretty beat.
Had some shrimp left over from new years so I made cocktail de camarones. My wife said it didnt have enough ketchup in it. She's right and that is why I actually liked this version.

I had the smoker going all weekend. First I did an 12 hour cold smoke on a wild boar country ham that is an ongoing project. Then did a few racks of baby backs using a recipe from a new smoking book I got for xmas. Dry rubbed and smoked 2 hours on cherry wood than wrapped in foil with honey/butter/brown sugar and 2 hours more in the smoker. Finished off with a applesauce bbq glaze. Served up with coleslaw, smoked potato salad, and corn bread.
Made up some French onion soup for the kids.

Ever had aguachile?
@psylocide are you part asian? You have those pot stickers down. They always look good.
Negative.
However, it took me approx. 2 years of making them to really get the folds down. And even then, an Asian grandmother would probably call them a disgrace.

Found some energy yesterday afternoon and finally put all the holiday leftovers to use making soups. Did lentil, 15 bean and beef barley and let them simmer all evening and resumed this morning.

Sampled them all for lunch. 15 bean turned out solid - but I'll probably add some more red pepper flakes before I put it into containers to freeze.

Lentil is perfect with a few shots of jalapeño pepper sauce. Best of the three.

The beef barley is the heartiest but ended up a touch salty.

Should be set for a while now that the cold weather is moving in.

Any man that can make 168 thousand cookies over the holidays will be meticulous in his dice
Wow - that's enough soup to feed a platoon!! :rockin:

Looks delicious!

Buffalo cauliflower.
How can THAT be unhealthy?
Roasted veggie - HEALTHY
Hot Sauce - HEALTHY
Combine the two - SUPER DUPER HEALTHFOOD!! :rockin:
Agreed. And anyway veggies are like negative when it comes to unhealthy. I am sure that more than makes up for the butter and hot sauce. The hot sauce is not bad for you and the spicy is a fat burner. And if julia child and paula deen have anything to say about it butter is good for you as well.
