Hi HBT,

I got a special yeast blend from my LHBS. It's a combination of 1084 Irish Ale and 3522 Belgian Ardennes. So, I'm wondering what kind of beer style I should brew with this yeast? Any suggestions?

That's an interesting combination of yeasts. Just out of curiousity I might use something like that to brew a stout to see how the Belgian Ardennes yeast finishes up. It might finish up with a dryer taste... could be interesting!

Thank you JMSetzler. I think I'm going to do just that. Oatmeal Stout probably.

Here's what I'm thinking

5# Maris Otter
2# Caramel 40L
1.5# Flaked Oats
1# Black Malt
8 oz Roasted Barley
5 oz Chocolate Malt

Maybe some Glacier and East Kent Goldings as my hops

and the Blend for the yeast
