Spent the weekend in Savannah, GA for my Wife’s 30th. Many beers and cocktails were had. Such a fun city.

This Finnish Seltzer, Long Drink, was actually really good. I had one on recommendation from my brother who just got back from a 6 month deployment to Poland and Finland.

I pitched yeast on these split batch beers on Friday, and they appear to be done. Kveik is pretty awesome!

And now I’m enjoying a hard cider.

Morning beer with Wally. Been too long since I’ve had one with the tiger.

That looks so good!

I've spent the last two weekends plotting out my brewing schedule into the winter and figuring out my material needs. I'm sooo excited to unleash the Vienna malt this year! I have to do another round of fizzy yellow rice beer to get me through September, but once that one clears the lager fermenter, I get to unleash the Vienna and Munich.

In fact, I've ordered in some dark Munich for the first time ever. I'm going to cross the Dunkle Rubicon this October. I dislike that style, but I have some thoughts about making a dunkle that I might like. I'm eager to see how it goes.

As always, the most useless month of the year separates me from where I want to be.

Come on August, get here and quickly leave. Nobody loves you and we've got things that need doing.
