Homebrew Dark American Barleywine. ABV 9.8%. The grist was Maris Otter with a little Special B and Carafa Special 3. US-05 for yeast. Hopped with Apollo to 83 IBU.

I made it a couple months ago to age for winter, but wanted to check the carbonation level. Light to medium carbonation and pretty stable, but you can never be too sure so I've been checking every week or so.

Umm… it’s not brown. Not at all what I expected to come out when I poured it. Tastes like an average blonde ale. It’s listed on Untappd as an amber lager.

Tried and not a good beer.

Besides the 15% Nagori Sake, low carb lunch.

Having a sample of my latest Cooper's NEIPA experiment. So happy I added 2lbs of Maris Otter to this version, it adds just the right amount of extra maltiness to the Cooper's IPA extract, oats and brown sugar. Slightest bit of carb when I poured, but no head as of yet. Not bad considering I bottled the trial 4-pack of Grolsch bottles 36h ago. Cheers! :D :mug:

PS- I didn't 'overcook' the colours in this photo, it's a full-spectrum light for my tying and natural overcast daylight. So there. 😆
