2lbs of cherry smoked. It is very subtle in the taste but pairs well with the tart citrusy flavor from the 3724 yeast.

I've done straight up apple and a cherry, maple, hickory blend last fall. The blend was very bacon-like in a brown ale. Apple was a sweet smoke bomb in classic rauchbiers. Did 40-50% rauch malt in those.

Doing pistachio and peanut smoked malts in something soon. I have an Irish Red with a few pounds of pistachio rauch malt fermenting now.

Check out this thread. You can make grain baskets out of aluminum screen and a stapler for less than $6.00 with a lot of left over screen.

I use three for grain, one for smoked almonds. Don't want butter residue on my barley.
