Data cables suck. Especially when the switch is actually the problem, and the IT guy won't touch it until I prove to him that my lines tested clean, and he cut out early to go see Star Wars.

OT, water.

I might open an that Inbev beer tonight with my brother. Before we know it any beer we buy not make will be under that umbrella

I'm actually in talks with them for a buy out of my home brewery. Well, maybe not "talks." I sent them an email asking them to give me money to brew....and I haven't heard anything back yet. They're probably just getting a check ready for me. Takes a while to type all those zeros.

Only a few short hours until the office Christmas party. I've been asked to pour some good stuff, unfortunately roofie free.
In the mean time, desk rum while I wait out the clock

As in IT guy, that is F'n stupid. If whatever device is on the other end of the switch isn't communicating with the network, it is an IT issue. Could be one of several different things (switch, cable, port on the device, DNS, VLANS, etc). All are IT's responsibility to troubleshoot and fix.

water, stuck in the office for another 60 min...

This guy is a waste of oxygen though. He won't get to it tomorrow either, I bet. Once the ports tested out Open, he was sure I had to run the new lines, now that they test out, he'll invent new hoops for me to jump through. Should have had the shipping supervisor tell him, but since I did, he knows I know my way around enough that he doesn't have to stop playing WoW long enough to look at it.

Newest home brew. I call it "The Cat's Up". For some reason I started with a grist which I have tweaked 3 times then named them "The Cat's Ass, The Cat's Meow, and The Cat's Up". I don't even like cats. I have a base hop schedule of Columbus and Citra for "The Cat's Ass" and added Amarillo this time to brighten things up. I could drink a few of these.

Hmmm, no drum sander ?? just finished a hb brown with Anis seed ... carbing nicely ... a hb bourbon vanilla porter on deck ...

We don't need no stinking drum sander- plus I don't want to learn the drum on my own floors- whoever originally finished these floors must have used this house as their training grounds- terrible drum sander marks. On to 36 grit- still dranking coffee

Ayup', if you don't know how to use one, they can pretty much screw up a floor.
