I actually want one. Way cooler than the Caravan.

Not cooler than the dad wagon tho. Mines silver.

Yeah the truck looking front and the tremendous amount of room for me in the driver seat (6'6) was hard to pass up. Hard to trade the Suburban in though.

Is that the twins b-day?

Good guess but I actually got in a pretty bad car accident that day that resulted in some major surgery and ultimately an early retirement that starts in 1 hour and 10 minutes. I get to stay home and take care of the clan now though so I'll deal with the physical issues from it instead of sending them to daycare.

Almost time for another pour while watching Big Break reruns from Barefoot. Miss that place.

R.I.P. HB.
Infected? Maybe some Brett? I'd reuse, but then again I'd do a long soak in PBW and then Star-San. Probably a day or two each out of paranoia.

I've always sanitized the crap out of stuff, but I may have something going on with my bottling buckets...and I have used them for fermentation. Could be a siphon hose. I have started soaking my bottles in the baking powder was stuff and the running them through the dishwasher. I think I just need to toss my buckets, spigots, and tubing. I'm fermenting in carboys now...1 glass, 1 plastic. Idon't know if I'll ever have the room or money for my dream brew set up and kegging...I just need to eliminate as many variables as I can and keep going!

Diet Coke, caffiene free.

Quick hit of Citrus wheat while dry hopping the ZD clone.

Thank goodness (and sorry about the ford). The nissan does come with a 5/100k bumper to bumper standard though. Fun to give the finance guy at the dealership that info when he showed us extended warranty prices.

I have the same warranty. I drive a sh** ton so I'll hit 100k real quick. I'll trade it by then.

Damn, didn't know about the accident. Good luck with retirement, I think we all look forward to it, but prefer it on our own terms. Good luck with the start of a new chapter of your life.

My '83 Olds Delta 88 came with a 100,000 mile go **** yourself warranty. The price was right... paid 200 bucks for the beast and I have 30,000 miles left on the warranty.

Still got nothing on my 98 4Runner tho.

I miss being able to drive ancient POS cars. I gotta get to work every day though.

If I had my way, would have dumped the company car and kept my 91 MR2. But it needed work, and we didn't have the space for 3 cars then, and now barely have the space for 2. I'm scratching at the walls trying to get out of this damned job. Since brewery job 1 is dragging feet majorly, looking for brewery work elsewhere.

My 'ancient' 4Runner will go 120k miles further than that Ford will ever go and the 83 will never have more miles than that Ford will end up with by the time a 16 year old 3rd owner is bombing around in it listening to dubstep and drinking powdered alcohol.

A couple POS vehicles:

Sad, crappy day...had to dump abou 2 cases worth of homebrews. Started blowing up in storage...I had to move them to the kitchen and start dumping bottles. One six pack bottomedout on me and crashed in the bedroom...stout and glass splattered. I lost what was left of my Yooper's Oatmeal Stout, Gingerbread Stout, Scottish Pumkin Ale, and some bombers of Nelson Saison w/Hibiscus. I may have to dump more when I check the rest tomorrow. *sigh* Are the bottles that I dumped compromised, or can they safely be reused?

More kombucha.

First, I have a couple of your HBs in my garage. Should I put on the safety gear and walk them to the garbage? I'm worried now, I've had a bottle explode in my hand. The trash can is closer than the kitchen sink. I think I have at least your robust porter and another pumpkin. :(

Second, I really think that it is time to replace things. at least start with the tubing and maybe dismantle your spigot and wand and soak everything in maybe a 50/50 bleach solution for about an hour. I wouldn't do it longer, then a long long warm water rinse. Otherwise, if you can swing it, buy everything new, tubing, wand, siphon, bucket etc. Let me know if I can help. Also, I'll figure out my schedule and we can do the keg of Gose.

@bigmike99 I didn't know about your accident or the forced retirement. I hope everything goes well from here on out. enjoy that giant van. They're actually cool and if you can swing it, have the A-team logo painted on the side. Just a thought.

Water, coffee, protein shake. On topic and all that jazz.

Protein shake. Last day of no drinking. I just applied to a job that I had to write a poem about my current employment during the application process. This is for an IT job haha. Interesting excercise though.

Yeah...I'll check the porter today. The pumpkin was so good!...but I would pop the cap in the sink or toss it. Hoping the Gose will be okay... Used the carboy you gave me. Definitely going to toss some old utensils and super soak a couple of things.

Going on for more quaffi.

So... turns out after all the bad jokes I made, I have a severe gluten sensitivity and will have to give up the good stuff. Will post a thread for all my gear soon, most unused.

Thanks for all your help.

Well what I am asking is how much of a risk is there that the bottles will explode in my hand as I walk to the sink? Are they that bad?

Also, to me if these things are randomly breaking, I would not use the bottles. That is what I did with my cider, I didn't use any of those bottles for fear the glass was weakened by the pressure.
