You want to hear the more embarrassing sign that I need a vacation. I went out to lunch yesterday and my arms were full when I was getting out of my Jeep. Fast forward about 3 hours and I cannot find my keys when I was going to leave for the day. I thought "I probably left them in the Jeep". Well, I was right...and the damn thing was still running.

I think I'm fried.

EDIT: and I am currently drinking Coke with my fat lunch...and my keys are on the desk.

Oh man. At least you didn't have to warm it up to drive home. Silver linings.

Mmhmm... someone just bought 600 units that I designed. Salesman gets sexy commission for saying "sounds good, thanks". I get more work.

Water with fruit & vegetables for lunch. Smacked.

I work for a University. Granted the pay could be better, but the laid back atmosphere and schedule make up for it. My duties include testing, lab demos and helping the Senior Design students, Electrical and Computer Engineering. IF none of the above are going on, my duties are fulfilled and home I can go.

Okay... I'm just going to throw this out there, but @TheCADJockey may just be the coolest dude around. Guy sent candy for my kid even... and yes, the hat was included.

Drinking Busch Light with a big ol' cheesy grin on my face.

Not gonna lie, was a little disappointed to hear no bees came flying out.

Well you know what they say... Once you hit bottom there's one way to go and that's up. Hopefully you get all the bad mojo out of the way now and vakay will go smoothly.

Was the Busch Light included? I have to say I wouldn't have been surprised if he had just sent you a 12er and called it good ;)

OT: Cold coffee

Any of you bastards paint your garages (walls/ceilings and floors)? I'm debating whether or not to go with eggshell or semi-gloss (easier clean-up) on the walls and ceiling and some Rustoleum Epoxy Shield for the floor. The other dilemma is figuring-out where to put my beer fridge when the floor is painted and is drying.

Semi gloss, of course. Better in moist conditions and cleans up a lot easier.

Only downside there would be is that it's more shiny (obviously) and doesn't hide imperfections in painting/surface as well.

We always used exterior acrylic latex paints on garages, especially the ones that get a lot of use like yours. There are some really great options for garage floors but that is all depending on what you want.

I'd use exterior paint on the garage and for the fridge, perhaps you can simply leave it in a corner until the rest is dry and then move it?

How are the kids?

Coke. What a lagging day...at least I snuck in a 20 minute nap to try and sleep off the pill I took at 5 am. :D May get to my yard work today.

Aww, and I was hoping for a reenactment of

"Bees! Bees! Bees in the car! Bees everywhere! God, they're huge and they're sting crazy! They're ripping my flesh off! Run away, your firearms are useless against them!"

I am planning to acid-etch my floor. It's pretty flat and smooth and I need it to be rougher to accept the epoxy. I don't want that stuff peeling-up on me when the cars go in and out.

There is no visible moisture (white stuff or water) on my garage floor. So, I'm hoping the epoxy sticks fine after the acid bath. I was leaning towards the semi-gloss because I am always in the garage and the kids are always touching **** in there. I want to clean that mother****er with ease.

I meant the inside the garage - I hope you got that. I've never used exterior paint for basements, the house (living space, obviously) and have never painted garages before not even at my old house. What type of exterior paint are you talking about, specifically?

Kids are good - I had to give the little one another bath. I'm having beer, though. So, I am fine.

Next week needs to get here. 83 F water. FML

I know this was directed at Hello but this is what I meant as well. We used exterior acrylic latex, on the interiors of all of our garages even if they were attached. The little bit of exposure the interior gets just from having the doors open is enough to wreak havoc. Either option will work, this is just a 'safe' option.

edit: you can just clean it with soap and water as well, won't trap moisture etc..

I too was talking exterior latex. It seemed durable was all.
Where you headed next week?

Anything with an enamel in the latex will work for cleanability. If you want the protection without that super shininess, go with the satin finish instead of eggshell. To give it a bit more protection ask your paint retailer for the mildacide packet to add in yourself at home when you stir in. This will give the paint film extra mildew protection, again without the muy brilliante finish. That floor epoxy is great stuff, but you will only get 75 square feet from the box. I'm sure I don't have to tell you to measure it out and factor in the moisture in the air prior to painting it on to compensate.
In a prior life I was a manager for the paint department at Home Depot.
