Upgrade to the stc-1000 and hen buy a few feet of reptile heating pad to take care of warming when needed. Works like a charm and doesn't cost much at all.

I thought about that. I just so rarely brew in the winter, and this year is the coldest my basement has ever gotten. It perculated for 2 days but there were no signs of life today. I know that is no real indication that fermentation has stopped, but with temps at the bottom of the yeast temp, it's concerning.

I'm finding that being able to hold the chamber at 70 is a huge bonus when it comes to carving up the beer after bottling. I'm using it about 25% of the time for that.

Another busy azz day, spent my work day in wire hell, but i'm pretty much done and put U-joins in the truck after, all quite again:D

A couple stouts with a splash, shower time, no picture;)
