Testing out some of my very first homebrew. Just a simple pale ale. Tastes like a sierra nevada so that's good. A tad cloudy but a 3rd week of bottle conditions should clear it up(I think?). Nice and crispy brew for this beautiful warm Wilmington weather. Was worried about there being too little carbonation due to the head room but there's plenty. All in all pretty damn happy with my first brew.

Congrats on the first brew. The head space in that bottle is pretty much perfect. That's the level my bottles normally end up at and I've never had a problem with undercarbonation. Cheers!

Those are quite possibly the worst steps I've ever seen.

Soda. Beer is still 3 hrs away.

You can come here and I can throw you into one, head-first.

Floccing Bubba Watson kills me with that top button, bottoned. ****.

Deviant was terrible. Which is odd considering almost everything else they do is good.

Yeah I think their stuff is usually solid but overpriced for what it is so I generally pass it up. I had never tried Deviant Dale's and needless to say won't buy it again.

Bagels and lox?!

Yep. My sister and her husband came down during the brew. He is a self-described 'stereotypical Jewish guy from New York City'. There is a new deli not too far from their house that is owned by a guy who is originally from Jersey, so they brought bagels, whitefish salad, lox and smoked salmon. It was a good morning meal during the brew.

Only issue was I might not have re-sanitized my better bottle due to being distracted. :( Guess I'll find out in a few days / weeks.

Drinking this - thanks Mark.
