HB Robust Porter... Slow pour and it made it into the glass. It's meh. I seem to do much better with pale ales, IPA's, saisons. Porters and stouts have just not been living up to expectations. Maybe it's water chemistry or something beyond my current level of expertise and equipment.

It's okay. Not something I'd ever pick up, but it was part of a gift and free, so who am I to complain? But, bottom line, if you want something malty that drinks easy, try it.

Even more ed wort's haus pale


Not sure how many times I brewed this beer, probably around a dozen. Last 3 before this came out with band aid flavor, due to overnight chillin to get temps down. God damn is this beer good when it's clean.

Now I chill all the way and pitch within 1-2 hours of putting wort in the fermentor. Haven't had a problem since.

Got it on sale for $4.49, normally $5.49. Last one on the shelf, and it was the first time I've seen it at the grocery store. And yes, I do check the beers out at the grocery store every time I go grocery shopping (weekly) doesn't everyone?
