I rarely drink tea at home because I love coffee. I love coffee except for horrid office coffee (they work to make it nasty). Here I drink lipton because it's hard to screw up and plentiful. It is also calorie free - i drink it black because i don't care for my tea sweetened

No I have not tried a london fog. I'm sure it would be tasty cold!
I've had some horrid work coffee, which is when I learned about fresh presses back then. Now if I were back in the office, it would be pour over. My office in Texas does actually serve Seattle's Best, which I enjoy. It's not Peet's or Larry's Beans, but it'll do. I became a tea snob once. Cost me a fortune.
I don't really know what is going on with the offensive, off-topic stuff... but I can only assume it is @Psylocide 's fault. That guy, man. His name just makes you go into a fit of rage. His panda-cat is cool though.

Not shaking yet, so yeah... gonna need another coffee.

I totally hoped that was you dressed up. haha

I know I saw the deleted post and can't remember what it said, just the normal BSing thought nothing of it.
More coffee, I love coffee! Not as much as beer but a good cup , damn!
Oh just shut your dirty mouth. :p

More coffee. I think I need to spend time clearing my 700 emails out of my box. I'm missing more important emails because they get bogged down with other junk.

I'm not that cool. I am an idiot at work though; always try to lighten the mood. It doesn't matter what we make here, people need to stop taking themselves so seriously. I'll make the "who farted?" face of disgust while I draw so when someone walks by my office dumbfounded they'll stop and ask what's wrong. Then the door is open for me to make up something even more ridiculous and tell them I lost my Object Snap Tracking or that I bent my pencil.

Oh well. Racking the over-sweetened coffee from my wife into some vintage 7:00 AM office coffee.

It's not warm but I'll be in Asheville Saturday, just for the night.

This. Sometimes in our meeting people will start acting like we're making decisions to solve world hunger. Then I remind them that at the end of the day we are delivering water to people. Coffee is done ... moving on to water after taking the puppy for a walk. At least it isn't as floccin' cold today.

On the coffee. It's snowing but it's 38 out, blowing over pretty quick too. Good thing, driving on snow and ice is not a North Texas skillset.

If you are in the woodlands hit hop scholar out. Just down the street from me. They know me by name lol.
Cool. Not that far at all.
Heading downtown tomorrow so probably picking up some bayou tech because that just hit too.

Any new beer is worth picking up if you never had it.

Bayou Teche. Glad to see they're branching out. I was serving their beer at a beer fest the other day. Bon hommes, every one of them.

Coff.

Coffee, actually doing work at the office. What a ridiculous concept.

More corking questions for Wes's sake. :D

I keep reading articles about corking Belgian bottles and most talk about laying the bottle on its side. Ive never done this and never seen it done before. Why do so many people recommend that practice for beer?

Keeps the cork moist and won't cause dry rot

Keeps the cork moist. Everyone loves moist corks.

I don't have any idea how dirty but then I don't want to found offensive.
Another cup of delicious coffee.

I get that part haha but why recommend it for beer? Ive never seen it done before.

I believe Cantillon ages all of their bottles laying down.

That said, it doesn't seem like there's any consensus. I store everything standing up because that's what I can do now.

You should split your batch. Lay some down and stand some up and see if you notice any differences over time.

As much as I have said I probably wont head back to Cancun, it looks like thats where I am going. Its nothing wrong with the place per se, but I have been there half a dozen times now. At least there is beach, sun and warmth so I am not complaining. I just wish I were sailing again like the spring vacation that I took last year and the year before. That way I can make you all jealous with pictures of boat drinks.

Thats a good idea. And I'm the same, I always store commercial corked bottles up and have had some that were years old with no noticeable issues, including Cantillon.

Dang it, now I have to be a guinea pig! I was hoping someone here had already done the dirty work for me. :D

Thanks for volunteering. I'll look for your research findings in a few years.

2nd coffee. Stupid time zones. Next meeting spans lunch hour.

That looks delicious and pretty.

So we lay the bottles down if they have corks?

I used to own a sailboat. I miss it like mad. Then again, I miss docking my boat at Dana Point Yacht Club as well.

@mcbaumannerb , your job is to provide water to people? That is kind of rad.

Water. Wondering how much more clear I can write, "please do not send me redline versions of document as final copies." It seems to not really sink in.
