My ride is this (not actually a picture of mine, but the closest I found on the first glance of Google images). I thought it was an impractical choice at first, but it has turned out to be anything but. I am yet to see a level of snow that even slows it down and it tows nice and easy behind my RV. I dig those and have driven them in the past (pre-2006). Too much of an "outdoors'" feel for me, regarding the interior. I have Jeep (not Wrangler), too. But I have to say Americans stink at designing good-looking and feeling interiors on cars. I've driven Corvettes ($60K+ price tag) and the dash/controls look like complete ass.

My German machine hasn't let me down in the snow. I just wish I had the truck. More room and it looks sick.

Enough bull****ting. I have to get off of the couch and pour another.

Got drunk and made purchases. Brewhardware.com is the real winner tonight, stilldragon got some off of me to. Camlocks, keggle hardware, a chugger, ssr's, other fittings, hundred bucks in tubing, bunch of hops, some otter, the only thing I didn't buy was the elements because I made my purchases from other vendors first before discovering that the amazon vendors don't combine shipping. Need to go back and just get those from brewhardware as well. I am going to bed before tonight gets more expensive.

This country make me sick sometimes. People are getting progressively dumber each day.

So not only are you forced talk to someone that can't help you; you now have to explain financial strategy with them.

Exactly. She kept asking why I wasn't making a payment. I said it was due on Friday and that is the day I intend to pay the loan off. She kept asking for a post-dated check. I finally told her I called them to tell them what my intentions were. Like it or not, I will get them the money and the truck will be paid off. They can over-complicate this or they can make it easy.

Right now I have a jar that I just dump dregs in when I drink a sour that's worthy. I started it about 3 months ago and have pitched a little bit of it into a gallon so far. Im planning to fill this liter jar and pitch the whole thing into 5 gallon batch. I dont refrigerate it and dont plan to make a starter with it. I've dubbed it "Dreg Party" so you'll have to think of another name for your house culture.

Why don't you have to refrigerate?

Mine is a 2013 with nearly every upgrade. The interior isn't too bad, but clearly not like a full blown luxury car. I went into this looking at a Cadillac CTS and ended up with this thing. Quite a swing in attitude. The clincher was the revelation that I could just tow this behind my RV...don't think I want to try that with the CTS.

Why don't you have to refrigerate?

@Oldsock 's recommendation is to refrigerate, I believe, esp if you're not going to use them immediately. I keep some individual cultures (brett, lacto) in the fridge and make starters when I want to use them. Just helps extend the life, but like @finsfan said, bugs can be pretty hardy.

I don't keep my mixed culture in the fridge mostly because I don't have the space to keep an extra growler with an airlock in the fridge all the time.

A few reasons that may not be necessary actually haha. One is the lag time with brett when you refrigerate it. Its suggested to build on a stir plate for a week after being refrigerated, to give it enough time to wake back up to reproduce. Another reason is so the sacch in the mix will die sooner. Brett can feed off of sacch autolysis (self degrading death) and create new flavors. This may not be reason enough to leave your bug culture out of the fridge, but I dont see much or any harm in doing so. Bugs can last years at room temp with no food so Im not worried.

Hell yeah! :rockin: Drinking Crooked STave for dregs is always tough work

Water, maybe more coffee soon. My lunch "hour" was pretty damn productive for a Monday. Went to the grocery store, target and fedex (heads up @PatrickGoss and @cliffmongoloid ), made and pitched a yeast starter, made my priming sugar solution for tonight, printed labels, and got my bottling bucket on rinse cycle. O and I had time for lunch

Nah. Wanted this keg to kick and it finally did (1.5 howlers later). I am kegging my cream ale right now. Have two other IPAs in-waiting for the CO2. And the ESB and Robust Porter for the nitro.
