Not anymore. I typically do a pH test after it's been mashing for 15 minutes, but I've done it enough at this point, where I check conversion more by taste.

Banjo burner is the style of burner (as opposed to jet burner). The KAB in the model number stands for Kick Arse Banjo. The only difference(s) between the 4 and 6 are a smaller frame (and regulator IIRC) on the 4.
I can agree that is eats through propane quickly though haha. I have found that different brands of propane burn different. With Blue Rhino, I was lucky if I got through brewday on one tank. I now get mine refilled at a coop and one tank will last 2.5 brewdays. Huge difference!

It's not the brand of propane as much as it is the fill. Since the store bought/exchanges are transported in bulk, they usually don't fill them more than 75% (all that extra weight adds up when you're bringing a truckload). When you get it filled at a local shop of some sort, they'll really fill it.

Still water since I'm about to head to Corporate Brew and Draft for homebrew club meeting.

Pretty decent. Strong chocolate and raspberry with maybe a little coffee and oak to go with it. Has a weird aftertaste, though, so I probably won't be buying this again.

 
I probably shouldn't have poured another pint of 12.4% ABV homebrew after a pour of 12.4%, a 750ml of 10.5% ABV, a Gandhi (8.8%) and washing those down with a 5.6% ABV home breal oatmeal stout. It's only been 3 hours. :D
