That sounds good, though...looks like plenty o' pumpkin. I think in the Scottish Pumpkin, I used 2 tablespoons of my spice blend at 5 minutes or flameout and another 2 in secondary. I think it was there, but not overpowering. I've never kegged, but could you toss more in the keg? Or once it has started to carb you shouldn't open?

problem is that I bottled this batch. you can depressurize a keg and add stuff to it if you want. trying to get your carb right afterwards might take a little practice though. all the recipes I looked at had 1/2 the pumpkin I used. I guess it's the jaded punk/skin in me that just has to push the envelope a little. hahahaha!!!

having a SN Celebration. just because this is what we need to do sometimes.

Something a little different. Apparently made by the same folks who do Red Stripe. It's not bad.

I've had a variety today. That was the best I had.

Half of the "craft" beers I buy just make me wish I had bought two hearted. In college it wasn't really all that much more than BMC, they must be raking in the dough at bells these days. They have a superior product and a craft beer movement that let's them price with the micro's. Should have invested there fifteen years ago.

Beer, I'm drinking beer. I'm quite good at it. That and I'm to damn old to bother with taking a pic every time so you'll just have to take my word for it.

I feel the same way every time I have that one yet I pass on it all the time to buy over-rated crap(sec) and end up full of regret and self loathing.

I just can't get into Two Hearted.

I know a lot of you guys love it. I know it's the "#1" example in the BJCP style guide.

Just too much crystal malt or something for me.

Too much Michigan homerism for you!

It is one of the beers that got me in to craft beer and thus holds a special place for me. Nostalgia + good flavor is hard to beat.

Kool. :)

I bought a 12 pk of SN mixed stuff recently for $12.99...thought I'd get a variety, instead of the Celebration for the same price. It's all pretty good, but I see so much Celebration on here, I'm wondering if I should have gone the other way? I guess I have an excuse to buy some now!

Going to get the Dupont Saison from the fridge....

It is wonderful. Chances are you have walked by it more than once. I have ignored a lot of NB bombers. Will give them all a shot now.

I'm a big fan of their beer actually. I enjoy ranger and rampant, if you add in the value of their beers they rank way up there for me. I have not seen that one around here yet but I will be looking.

I am keeping it in stock at my house. If I see it dry up I will check back with you to see if you found some. I still have not tried that black IPA you are so fond of and would give you anything I have on hand for more of your rye porter.

I agree. They make good stuff. They take too much crap for "selling out". Solid beers, for the most part.

Dupont Saison...good head retention, nice aroma...a little musty. Good carb. Whatever that flavor combination is up front...hops? grains?...then the pepper. Oddly, the bitter is late in the finish. I love Citra and made a Citra Saison a few months ago...I keep thinking that this is really good, but the Citra has faded...ha ha.

Every company that is successful has their fair share of haters. They make good IPAs and very good sours. I have a similar affection for Stone which is another company a lot of people hate on.
