Really damned good.

I have had a four hour nap and am looking forward to pounding beers for an hour and going back to bed.

Oh hell yeah. Jon, you are very good at your craft. This rye porter is spot on.

Awesome. I was really interested in your thoughts on that beer. I am not a huge dark beer drinker but I love that beer. Glad you like it.

I love porters and that thing had a perfect hit of smokey with the rye spice right in there with it. There are milk stouts that are not as smooth. There is good bitterness and it is hoppy but the hops are not really discernible and let the malt shine. I loved that thing start to finish. Enter it in competitions. It is just lovely. The recipe needs posted, or sold.

Racked a cider and my Scottish pumpkin ale again today...so, I get samples!

The light one is the cider. It's a blend of crab apple, pear, Pink Cripps apple and Ginger Gold apple. It's at 13.65%...woo hoo! Finally starting to be less green and astringent. The flavor is actually pretty mild and it still has a little fruit to it...not bone dry, but not very sweet either. Moved it to four 1/2 gallon jugs with no head space for some bulk conditioning in a dark corner.

The pumpkin ale is at 7.74%...I decided I wanted another gallon of this beer, more than I want the ABV to be that high, so I added a gallon of Culligan bottled water. I think this is going to be so good that I want 5 gallons, not 4! The aroma is awesome. The taste of the sample is great, but the alcohol is a little hot. I'm hoping the added water and some bottle conditioning will help that. Nice body. I hope I get the carb right! If I do, this will be a doozie! I was hoping to have it ready for Halloween, since I'm naming it after the Celtic version: "Samhain" (Pronounced "SOW-win"...why? No clue.). It may be better at Thanksgiving, though.

Thanks it really is exactly what I like in a porter it turned out great. Everytime I drink that porter I think "a cigar would go great with this beer. I need a cigar"

Careful there, his beer might over power your stove like he did his last night.

Water. stuck at work for 10 more hrs.

I am a bull in a china shop lol. I break way to much sh!t. On the bright side a new gas stove is in my near future. YES!! I should have broke that bitch a long time ago.

Sam Adams Octoberfest and Boston Lager.

I'm out of home brew. 4 in the fermenters and enough grain to brew 8 more 5 gallon batches on the way.

Man I hate running out of beer.
