Been waiting to do this for a while. Clone side by side with original. They're closer than I originally thought. New yeast and some malt, hop, and water tweaks.

Edit: Now with pic!

Edit again: Now with better pic!

All this talk of texas twang made me want some.

I hate seeing it and knowing I have to wait to enjoy more of this goodness. Let alone only so many bottles from a one gallon batch. I definitely want to do a 5 gallon batch sometime. What do you use to bottle your batch?
Another pour of the fruit basket.

Mmm...Weyerbacher Pumpkin Ale. My favorite...you can actually smell pumpkin, not just spiced. The spices are there, but not overwhelming. And here's a photo of a quick peek at MY pumpkin ale. Switching from blow-off to airlock and couldn't resist a careful, quick look. It's a Scottish ale recipe that I modified and it's coming along nicely. Calling it "Samhain" Ale, after the Celtic version of Halloween.

What a long day at work I am over a hundred post behind. Oh well, had a chub and a Pliny. Going to bed.

I usually use a 375ml corked bottle. I sometimes use a 187ml bottle to spread it out a little. Need to make another batch of this. Need to spend the money for enough honey to make it. Honey needs to be cheaper

Getting low on BIF beers. This is my second to last one. Chilies are much more subtle than in Bomb! Both are great, but I think I like this one a little more than Bomb!

Looks like I need to get some more wine bottles, specifically some smaller ones. At least I have a corker now... And after re-proofing my post, it was almost sloppy Wednesday.

Having a couple of PianoMan's HB's. Couldn't remember which these two were so opened together to compare. Pretty sure we've got a Citra Blonde and a Belgian.

Ca is a Cream ale recipe with biscuit malt. Why it was called cream...dont know. The citra was a recipe i came up with to sample the hop. Thanks for trying!

Water, coffee, protein shake.

Would anyone trade Keenan Allen for Bernard Pierce? All signs point to it is a fairly okay trade but Allen is one of three strong WRs I have, the rest are crud & I need 3 to play. If I trade him then I could be putting myself at risk if one of the others hits his wife or gets injured and is out.

Also, just got news that is a bummer. A competition I was going to participate in apparently has a rule that is no where to be found on their f'ing website. I can't brew with anything but water, malt, hops, yeast, and the secret ingredient. I need to ship the beer by 10/1 to ensure it is in their hands by 10/4 and my beer is a chocolate coconut IPA. It is good too. I checked my e-mails and don't see the e-mail where it is mentioned either. I'm more mad at myself for just not knowing but there is nothing I can do. I can't get a beer ready in time and since I'll be traveling, staying and serving multiple gallons of home brew in SC, it'll cost me a lot of money to just be there. It seems like a bad idea to rush it and then drop gobs of cash to go stay down there if I feel I have no chance. So ramble ramble ramble I'm bummed.

howd the brew go?

coffee - i picked up some apple cider last night and im gonna mix up some this weekend, cider/brown sugar and us -05 yeast... thinking of pitching right on top of a yeast cake from my pumpkin ale i am bottling up on sat- or should i wash it first?

I really like the idea of pitching it on a cake. Think it'll have a bunch of beer flavor?

That sucks that they didn't make any requirements on the competition clearly known. What's the point of doing that if you don't tell people? :cross:

On to coffee now ... beautiful fall morning today. I hear frost is going to get close to us overnight. Maybe my allergy suffering will soon be at an end! :rockin:
