Wrapping up the boil with my first Bengali. Tastes muted after a few dipa's, but good nonetheless.

Totally sacrilege - Townshend is a god!

Congrats!

Yes!

Having more Citra Must Be Destroyed. I believe I'm following the directions. :D

Thanks everyone for the congrats. I have to give credit to all the great people on this forum for all the wonderful help over the years. Having a water now to help prevent the inevitable hangover.

Entered my first homebrew Competion. It was part of the Great Arkansas Beer Festival. Took second in IPA's. Couldn't be happier. Celebrating with a love child #4.

Huge congrats!

Drinking Flying Dog's The Truth.
Lost a huge blue catfish today. I need a rod that isn't light action. Little did I know.

Awesome, congrats!

Had a few dirt wolfs (dirt wolves?) and summer loves after the range. Now water, then bed

This is an odd one for me...I called it Big Dark Stout. It was an extract brew made with some "inherited" older bags of extract back in early December of last year. It was a half batch and I threw in a half of a vanilla bean in the primary. I've come a long way since then (though TONS left to learn!). Down to a few bombers and decided to see how it tastes. Early tastings indicate the head was a little better. The flavor was sour and fruity. Less head now and the fruity flavor has pretty much gone. I'm still getting a strange flavor that must be malt extract that's a bit sour. I've never drunk a "sour" beer, but I don't think this is that kind of sour. I'm still uneducated enough to not pour it out. Don't think I would subject anyone else to it though.

My hb bourbon street imperial stout. I need to brew this again soon. Only 2 bottles left and it turned out so great. Hope I can make it even better. Since I lost the recipe.

Iced coffwe , heating strike water. By gosh, beer will be made today!

You can't say that and not mention what you're brewing!

I'm having another cup of Coff and just sanitized my equipment. Going to bottle the pale ale I dry-hopped five days ago.

More coffee.

Heating sparge water. Starting a training wheels version of a Flanders Red. A person in my club has three barrels going, so he is going to give me a pasteurized culture from his barrel to blend into my fermented beer, rather than waiting for the souring process to happen.

coca-cola now...heating h2o for my first smash (maris otter and amarillo)..the gal just texted from FL (softball tourney)...apparently it's hot! :drunk:

Slept in and then lounged around this morning. *yawn* Rainy day...coffee.

Once I work up some energy, I think I'll tidy up the kitchen so I can make the hibiscus tea I'll need for my Hi-Nelson Saison and get it racked from primary to secondary...it's been in primary since July 4th.
