Here we go again, yet another crystal-clear, super-drinkable Lager from Corona. Yes, of course with limes!
Just when you think you know a beer, you realize you don’t. I’ve been buying Corona for years for our weekend Fajita-fests here in Sunny Southern California. Now that I’m looking at these Coronas, I can’t tell you if I was buying their “Familiar” 4.8% ABV brew or their “Extra,” a 4.6% ABV brew which I’m drinking today.
Both are refreshing Lagers, “Familiar” being advertised as a bit more malty, while “Extra” being lighter, more drinkable and refreshing. For me, they are very similar beers, small differences like that are measured by a few shades of variation when we’re all being hammered by Imperial IPA’s Maibocks, Stouts and Sours constantly. All the light drinkable Lagers seem to blend into one after a while! I have to say though, Corona has the best “Non-Alcohol” beer I’ve tasted thus far, they get the Beermeister32 Seal of Approval for that one! Give it a try the next time you need to keep your head clear for “running them numbers!”
Driving home, stopped at Figueroa Mountain Brewing for lunch and a beer. Damn, kitchen closed - under construction. The beer’s good at least.
Hiker’s High, hazy ipa.

Started the day with a latte, got to work removing the shot hydraulic pump on our zero turn, went to my shop and made new hydraulic hoses for it.. tilled the garden, weed wacked the pumpkin patch and started tilling that, had a beer or 3, made steaks, sear first then finish in the oven.. now I'll relax, what a day, oh and gave my wife her mother's day gift, and my step mom as well.. finally relax time..
Had ~12 ounces of my all-Citra session hazy that didn't fit in the two kegs so I shook it up in a carb-capped soda bottle to put a little head on it and am enjoying one hella pungent ale!
