I've watched Rory since he was a kid. Totally flubbed the 2009 Masters final round. Really nice to see him succeed. Good guy. Thinking Paws needs to dust off the ol' clubs...

A glass of my Helles (and Patrick Bailey) while I wait for the wax in the Giants' wings to melt.

Helles is such a great style of beer that a lot of folks probably don’t know exists. Pilsner’s little brother… crisp, clear, malty and slightly less bitterness.

I haven’t been into the hoppier beers for a bit. I made this APA a few weeks ago and I’m enjoying some now. Recipe attached. Been bottled just about 2 weeks. This was one of my little one gallon batches. I got 10 bottles which is great for this. They won’t have a chance to go off. This is the first time I ever brewed with Lemondrop. I don’t get alot out of it in this one, probably because I overpowered it with Mosaic. But its a decent pale ale. I adjusted water to have about 175 sulfate and 60ish chloride (about 3:1 as most sources recommend.)

That sounds like me with curling when they do the Olympics. The women’s curling is definitely more fun, more strategy. The men are just about power.

Last pour of my year plus old HB imperial stout. Good to the last drop. This beer was transferred into the fermenter over the yeast cake of an Irish red ale kegged earlier that brew day.

That does indeed look tasty,Well, you know that means one of two things, you remember it as it was, or you brew another- I know what I'd do.

No, yesterday’s San Diego area 5.2 earthquake didn’t knock me offline. So here is yesterday's foamy epistle. Just make sure you hit the "post reply” button. That’s the message for today, otherwise your beer thoughts will be consumed only by you! With yesterday’s drink, I'm continuing on with my Faux German beer project!

Harland Brewing is another San Diego brewer, and they make a true and authentic Märzen with Pilsner and Munich malts, Hallertau Blanc and Saaz hops.

This is a 5% ABV nice drinker, good head and great lacing. Again, like many West Coast Lagers, it is a bit cloudy compared to the benchmarks. I’m also picking up a slight fuity ester that I’m not tasting in many Märzenbiers. Still a great brew, enjoy!

Hb neipa, citra strata galaxy. Haven't brewed with Galaxy for a few years... well this 2024 Galaxy from YVH is just fine.. not what it once was but a hell of a lot better then crops I had during its off years. Kegged a couple days ago so it still needs a couple more but no complaints here. It's more straw colored then the picture leads on.
