Thanks for ^that^ as it may inspire me to check them out. Schilling Beer Company in Littleton NH is a 15 minute drive from my house in Franconia but I haven't had the pleasure of visiting them - yet. I just looked at their web site and they are certainly interesting!

Cheers!
I'm very disappointed in you DT!!! I travel an extra hour out of my way heading to maine to visit that place. Well worth it. One of my favorite breweries in New England. They have some insane events. Id recommend doing one of those. They do lagers really well.

I deserve that 😁 and thanks for the heads up :mug:

I really need to check them out but lately whenever I've been up north it's been for working on the property - or fishing when I can. But given the boys love the place I'll have to visit sooner than later.

It's the lion's den for me. I hold myself to two drinks before I head off into a two hour drive into the deep woods. There is a hidden balcony off the can shop that is above the river. Beautiful view. My other favorite spot is the bar down in the basement of the barn. Lion's den.

I didn't drink these today but just had to brag a bit...

Entered a few beers into my second ever competition and took 3rd place with my amber ale! Also got an honorable mention with my light "lager" (in quotes because I fermented it with Kveik yeast).

Funnily enough, the light lager scored five points higher than the amber despite not placing as high (the amber got a 35 while the light lager got a 40). In any case, I think I'm officially hooked on the competition scene 😂.

Here's the recipes in case anyone wants to brew these.

Things are afoot in my brewery. Today, I transferred my vicious little hoppy American Ale off its 6oz of dry hops and placed it in its serving keg. That freed up a 6gal keg for my second batch of the Munich lager thing. That means I'm currently down to two kegs. Leaving me with...

HB Grimbergen Double Ambrée clone bottled 05/07/2020 that got stick way back in the beer fridge. This has held up very well. Very malty, dried plums, a little caramel, slightly sweet, no hop bitterness, 8%. Very tasty, only one left.

If we ever decide to give out HBT awards, you've gotta be in the running for "Most Googled Brewer." As a very systematic, focused brewer, I'm so envious of your wild scope. Brilliant!

It’s raining and on the verge of snowing. These are tasting good.

Send some of that stuff my way. It's been about 40 days since we've had a measurable drop of rain in DC and it's 84F in my place with the windows open.

I miss having Fall.

Oh, please! You don't do anything simple.

It's important to me that you know that I mean that in a very complimentary fashion because when the robots take over I'm quite certain that they'll be taking orders from you.

You and me, we're good right?

Right?
