A glass of that overly dry hopped blonde that I made.

Today has been a great day! A couple weeks ago I sent MaxStout some dry Kolsch sachets that I nabbed during the pandemic. I came home to a big USPS mailer full of coasters and stickers from the magnificent MaxStout. It's no joke, it's a no BS horde of stickers. Sticker dragons would happily sleep on this trove of stickers.

Time to pimp the red tool box, boys!

Plenty more left for my actual brewing toolbox.

Panther Piss on the new red tool box.

Today didn’t suck. Thank you, Max! :bigmug:

Glad you put them to good use!

An unadorned toolbox (or fridge, or ferm chamber, or keezer) is a sign of a dull sense of creativity. Cover 'em with stickers, I say!

And a glass of that APA that I'm rushing to get rid of because it's getting a bit warm out here.*

*Meanwhile, in Alabama, Rish enjoys a Belgian Quad and thinks to himself, "Wow, it's already June. I guess I should check the AC filters and make certain it'll fire up in August in case it gets a bit warm."

Any thoughts on that beer?

When I went home to Oregon last year, for the first time in nearly twenty years, I was frothing at the mouth to tour the Pfriem brewery. Then I had a six pack, then another six pack, then another six pack of their lager and decided, as much as I love going out to Hood River, going out to see Pfriem ain't worth the bother.

When I started the Panther Piss project, they were a major driver of my interest in the style. When I finally got a chance to taste their stuff, it was deflating. They really, really, bummed me out. Their lagers aren't even clear!

I've only had their sours, back in 2018, then this. This was a fantastic beer. Great BA. Wasn't overly heavy or sweet. Flavors were on point.

Oakland brewery. Bit astringent...like Oakland!

Over the last couple of years Galaxy became very sketchy and often is loaded with harsh polyphenols. I used to have a Galaxy-centric hazy on tap but since my last "known good" Galaxy hops ran out I've been apprehensive about brewing it again...

Cheers!

Two of these while I make the sugar mixture and pull the mangos out of the ever clear. Instead of lemoncello I’m going for mangocello this batch. Oh and getting 5lbs of pork belly ready to cure for 7-10 days (not pictured).

I took the mango pieces and placed them in a freezer bag. I think they will make nice ice cubes for this drink. Or just to enjoy a few on a hot day.
