@Abrayton @orionol73 I'm kind of disappointed in that beer. I feel regular Hi Res is more "sticky sweet", and DDH HR is just more "west coast hoppy". Your thoughts?

I’ve only had the resin and ddh hi-res. I thought it was dank and bitter. I thought it was great, more Midwest type bitter but sweet/juicy

Your pecan alt always and sounds good. I know u smoke your own malt. Have u ever tried walnut? Jackie O'S has a couple of stouts where it really smooths out the flavor. They don't smoke it tho.

So far, I've done beers with, apple, cherry, maple, beech, oak, pecan, pistachio shell, and peanut shell. I still need to try mesquite, hickory, and alder that are in my chip collection.

And of course Walnut now.... if I can find it.

Apple and beech are really fuggin good.

You obviously don't live in the state of Washington? The state "sin" taxes (2 of them) plus the regular sales tax will push that price closer to $40 a bottle.

Both taxes are from the 1990's, 1 tax is for any liquor of 1L or larger and is over 20%.
