Yes! Do it! Highly recommended, I've been keeping a botttle of oak for a few years now, lots goes into kegs but splashes happen;)

Most of this jar will go into a RIS I brewed after getting DLD inspired to make a monster. Had a sample yesterday and the bad boy needs a lot more time, but has some amazing flavor along side being harsh as hell. 1.145 to 1.040 so far. Still have airlock activity. Lost two gallons to the most amazing blowoff ever.

Iso!;)

I don't see why you couldn't.

In the water. Need coffee.

I guess I figured the metal score couldn't take the pressure while it's all in the headspace, but I guess it's probably fine.

Not sure why anyone would though, as you couldn't see the sediment layer. Unless they are able to achieve as little sediment as Sierra Nevada

Sierra Nevada can conditions

True, I've always found SN conditioning to be different though, as the beer is filtered and it goes into the can/bottle at almost full carb. I believe they only gain about 1/2 of a volume with the very small amount of sugar and yeast they add. That's why there's not really any sediment.

If a brewery was putting unfiltered beer and doing a full carbonation in the cans, it sounds like you would end up with a lot of sediment in the glass since you can't see.

Coffee while I contemplate everything to do with brewing this English version of Mumme. Didn't use enough crystal malt to keep it heavier & sweeter. Gotta brew the German hopped version next. And the latest hybrid lager, version 4.2...
