Ok need an opinion. Some of my homegrown hops smell off, almost like pickles. I could scrap the bad ones and use some different hops, or just throw them all in and see what happens. Thoughts?

And this, because this is the drinking forum. HB but brown.

Dont have any experience in home grown hops, but I know that if hops smell like cheese not to use them. PIckles is a new one haha this will be interesting to see what people think.

I agree about Birra. Decent saison but bad compared to their other offerings. Their Prairie ale is good and readily available. Just dont give up on them!

I like to try new stuff I kind of doubt I'll see Bomb or cherry funk here

I dried them in two batches. The ones I let dry out longer smell fine. What the hell I might as well roll with it. Only out $25 if it sucks.

How did you store them? Mine are all frozen in vac sealed bags and have had nothing funky.

Step 1: remove them from the pickle jar....

Homebrew from @PatrickGoss ... I think this was the one where a brewery gave everyone wort to brew something. We voted coffee brown and your partners overruled you? Can't remember what style you ended up doing but it tastes like a pale. Hop profile is pretty good, just a bit too far on the malty side for me. <<long sniff>> <<lip smack>> :D

Pretty beer though - thanks! Did you add this in Untappd by chance?

Is more forward the new term for under attenuated?

I am looking forward to sending you some better homebrew in the near future. I almost have enough to make it worth putting a box together.
