Torn between building a keezer or just keeping it simple by picking up a cheap refrigerator for beer and picnic tap.
Whichever choice, needs to happen soon. Any thoughts?
One more coffee..

I would skip picnic taps. They suck.
My experience with picnic taps are that they leak... Then you'd have to clean the inside of the fridge out. If you have a lot of traffic drinking from there it could get messy.
Coffee. Apparently everyone forgets how to drive when it rains in CA. 1:41 min to drive 20 miles on the 405. Smh
I have a picnic tap and only issue I had was the first time I used it. Though I can see that a bunch of people helping themselves could end up messy. Thanks guys.
How many taps are you planning? I'll agree on the through the door setup with a small fridge for a starting setup. It makes swapping out kegs easy. Just make sure it's tall enough to fit your keg(s).
Yeah I'm not worried about moving and lifting kegs. I think 1-2 taps is fine, though if I had a keezer I'd likely go 3-4.
The only issue I have with a fridge is when the keg in the rear kicks you need to move the one in the front storing up sediment.
Coffee
Everything I hope and wished for. Thanks @TobyG !

I'll post it soon. If i remember.
Coffee. 3 more days of work for me this week then new orleans
You would be well advised to be at the Avenue Friday afternoon. I won't make it Friday, unfortunately, but there's something that is relevant to your interests being tapped at 3pm (there are other good things being tapped around noon or 1-ish as well).
Water.
Can't decide if I want to fly to Denver for GABF or stay home and spend some time with the kids.
I have spent way too much on beer this year so I know Denver would put me in the doghouse.

I am up to 4 fridges and 2 chest freezers myself.
I can finally tell SWMBO that I'm not the only one. We finally got rid of a few fridges and freezers I was hoarding. Still have a few around though.
Id vote kids, myself. Dunno when I became this sentimental, but I do rarely miss the olden days when life was simpler, drunker and with less responsibility.
Depends on what the wifey says
GABF itself is fun, but this year I'm looking forward to the special tappings and releases around town more than the main event.
Go to GABF. If I had the $ I'd be there... even took a few days off next week to use up some vacation time. Damn, I should have an emergency credit card for these kinds of situations. ..

That's really why I like coming down that week. But the fest is just such an experience. Are you volunteering this year?

First rule of hipster beard club...You forgot to tell him to make sure his beard is hipster enough for the Ave. And to bring beads, just in case.![]()
Zwanze Day isn't too bad with the changes from last year. Polly only lets in enough people for the tickets and groups. Friday may get a little crowded, so you'll want to be there to get upstairs as soon as the balcony bar opens to get your pick of spots. Year before last for Zwanze was brutal since they didn't limit entry to the bar for the event. Now they do wristbands, so only the number of people that can get pours get in. So, you should plan to be there early Saturday.I plan to be there friday and saturday. I want Fou Foune too bad to miss it as well as everything on the tap list. I only have had very few on the list so I want to get as much as i can :rockin:. Is it extremely crowed or typical busy night at a bar?
FTFY
I attend GABF around once every 3-4 years. Each time I say it's my last. I can't stand crowds. Attending the Sat afternoon event is much better than either Fri or Sat night. I need to try to score tickets to the Wed night event.
still drinking water in the office...
@wyobrewer1 Brett Saison. Excellent saison well done.

What does that job entail? Different from pouring?
