Just tried fly sparging for the first time... and last time. ugh. time to figure out what I am actually going to brew since I have wort that is half the gravity I was shooting for. I have twice as much of it now too... sortof a win.



drinking water... not for long.

Edit: not as bad as I thought. Still had the pound of corn sugar in the calculator. With it removed it only missed my pre-boil gravity by .05. I will take it. I need to start drinking.
 
Ha. That reminds me of Moe's up Detroit on the strip in old Avon. They serve margarita's in those cups. We'd be driving back home after their huge mission style burrito's sipping on them!:mug:
 
Ohhhh hmmmm I love this. I can't identify the flavours, I would describe it as sparkling rather than carbonated like a clean beer with a fluffy white head. i LOVE the acidity, it has a real depth of flavour. GIVE ME MOAR.

Interestingly I see this gets horrible reviews online. I actually rather like it :) I may change my mind when I have my next Gueuze, I gather this isn't best in class.
 
I like everything about this picture. I could go for a few of those eggs right now. Breakfast is still a couple hours away.
Although, I've never had Sea Hag, I imagine it's good.

I'm sure it is, it says so on right on the can.
