Thanks....onto the green frothy top of the lake looking shake. There will be beer later or someone's getting smashed.

On the coffee. Spent the last three days working my ass off moving and finally got everything moved yesterday. Have to work 4 10's to make up for the day off yesterday and am wiped out. Still have to re-assemble a bunk bed tonight, but may beers will be consumed tonight as I fully intend to get fookie wastee

Got a dog walk in literally just before the rain hit. I had been inside for about 1 minute before it came piling down.

Win! Love it when that happens.

Drinking water before a Skype interview.

Putting my red rye on the gas today. Can't wait.

thanks a lot! Its un blended so you get the full sour assult. I might start blended it with non sour and subside it a little bit lol

I think blending in a low acidity, or clean beer is a good idea. It was great for the first couple sips, but it was a little much after a while. Going to the dentist today to see if I can get an enamel transplant, haha.

Question for all you freaks out there, but how terrible does a sour beer smell immediately after fermentation?

I mean, is it less or more terrible than after it has been aged and cooled and served?

I caught some wild stuff in my basement and it took the wort down from 1.053 to 1.004 in ~8 days. I really don't have any interest in pursuing sour brewing, but just wanted to play around.

It smells god-awful, singes the nose something fierce.

Depends on what you caught. Are we talking strong vinegar?

Last cuppa coff.

Yeah, was thinking acetobacter, myself. Maybe too much time out in the open.

Might have to try a more controlled experiment. I don't think I can bring myself to taste it.

Yeah, you can't really save acetobacter infections at that point. The best you could do would be to blend it with something else if the acetic acid would help a different sour.

Is it that nasty parmesan cheese or vomitlike?

Drinking an energy drink.

Yeah, all of that and vinegar.

Like I said, I don't even like sours, was just messing around to see if I could catch some yeast in my basement. I guess next time I'll leave it open for a day or so, then cap and see if anything happens.

Yeah... going to be warm here on the plains.

Full Throttle Blue Agave and window open for as long as I can stand.

Looks like stout weather to me.
Man bunch of night owls and early birds in here this fine morning. No one can accuse us of being non functioning alchies at least.

Water and iced coffee. Summer is here it's too damn hot outside to drink normal coffee

I just got up if that makes you feel better. It's almost 11 here.

Share some with the neighbor that gave you the Vanilla Porter?

Plus I get a lot more out of it. Got a few other sours I might do that if the acid is really high. I enjoy it. Its does not get too much for me but I know it might other people. Guess I need more beer to blend lol.

So I'll be in Busch Gardens at the end of the month...totally didn't even know I would be there for THIS!

Mostly commercial imports that are the same as Epcot, but still sounds pretty nice. The food looks really good...nutella crepe? Yep, gonna be uber fat this year.

hurry up Fedex!! I wouldn't be surprised if the delivery guy is waiting to hurt his back at the end of the day so he can finish his deliveries. :D

Last minute packing and organizing before heading to the airport around lunch time. Coff.

You are a glorious b@stard that is going to NHC, aren't you. .... work made me cancel my plans and return my ticket this year.

Yikes. I hope it goes very well.

Got a dog walk in literally just before the rain hit. I had been inside for about 1 minute before it came piling down.

Water and a sip of my columbus pale ale. Not too shabby, but then again I didn't brew it. Kegged and should be ready for the weekend. I also have to rack my Rye Promise IPA ... golden promise, rye, and simcoe hops all the way. Yum.

That was me on my run this morning - it started raining shortly after I got into the house.

@Remmy, hope the family is doing okay.

Water. Waiting to hear the lab results on the MIL; she is at the hospital since yesterday with a suspected stroke. WTH is going on in this thread over this last bit?

@banesong I hope it is not as bad as it sounds. So much crap going on as of late. :(

Or, like ThatJonGuy's box, he holds it until the absolute latest when everything is closed up that hes forced to deliver it the next day, still have 5pm lol

No more sick friends and family and other crappy stuff. Lets drink to health. And to everything becoming positive.

Water after a fat kid lunch of an extra greasy cheese steak (not authentic at all) and a large order of onion rings.
