8am on a tuesday is questionable :drunk:

Not in this thread it isn't...

Drinking coffee and considering adding some Crown Maple to it. My cell phone had been acting up so I went and bought a used one from a kiosk in the mall that has a 30 day warranty thinking I would be safe. Replacement #1 had to be replaced because it had previously been flashed and wouldn't work on the network anymore. Just found out the speaker on replacement #2 is shot so I can't hear callers on the phone unless it is on speaker or I use a retarded bluetooth. I'm ready to go Billy Klubb on someone today

I dont have yeast ready and theres already 5 inches of snow out. Its supposed to snow till ten and I dont have a garage to brew in. My boil off rate would be low today though. :D

All I hear are excuses. I try to keep a couple extra packs of dry yeast in the fridge for random/emergency use.

In other news, my flight was delayed and overbooked, so I took a $500 travel voucher and a first class upgrade on the next flight out this afternoon. Working from the United lounge for a few hours. Free coffee/snacks/internet. The bar's not open yet though...

I will be getting smacked again at lunch time this week.

Having a water with oats before I kill this workout.

Not much gets under my skin but Damn. I just had a friend start a conversation with "This is my first brew so I'm keeping it simple. I'm doing JAOM and I followed the recipe exactly except I zested the orange and juiced it, I used a different yeast, I used less honey, I boiled the water, I added 2 cloves, etc. I hope it's good!"

Drinking a super large coffee while resisting the urge to drive to my friends house and force him to follow the recipe before making changes.

Planning my vacation schedule with my wife. She's talking tropics and cruises... How do I convince her that Connecticut is a great place for a vacation (while I'm drinking with Remmy) and get her to plan a week there?

What was his reasoning behind limiting honey (kind of important) and such?

Basing it on things he's read from others. He's never had it so he doesn't know what it tastes like.

Drinking water as I figure out if im working today or not. Only about 4 inches on the ground now but there is a 80-100% chance of snow all day until 10 pm. I dont think ill be working :D

Youngins these days! Why in my day (yesterday) I shoveled on the way to work and again after and still put in a full day! What, do you live in Atlanta or something?! :D

*edit* - drinking water while I eat my vegetarian lentil soup at my desk and continue working. ;)

4 beers from "The Celt Experience" beers, Caerphilly, Wales UK. Bleddyn 5.6 abv, Bronze 4.5 abv, Native Storm 4.4 abv, and Golden 4.2 abv. All organic, all damn good.

I have a friend who constantly asks my advice on brewing and then ignores it with predicatable results. Just laugh and don't sweat it, you're not the one who will be drinking it.

Ah, what a maroon!

Speaking of making ****, I need to go to the market. I want to try my hand at making some french bread. That and I'm hoping it'll cure my general on-going foul mood of 2014.

Drinking good ol coca cola. Headed to the hospital to meet my newest niece. My wife just texted me this picture. ImageUploadedByHome Brew1391533239.006657.jpga box from Uinta. If it's just a replacement bottle for the one I bought that was defective that'll be good. But a guy can hope for some brewery swag thrown in as well, right? :D

I'm still trying to find a replacement for my double french loaf pan. Was teflon coated, but got caught in a flooded basement(?!). It was sorta "M" shaped. I used to like making braided French loaves with poppy seed on them for holidays at family get togethers. The loaves came out like 18-20 inches or so.

Questionable in your view? Or are you worried others might find it questionable?

Questionable for my own tastes. Im glad I didnt though, im brewing now!

Sounds like a brew day to me.

I might be young, but when the boss tells me not to come to work, I tend to listen!

That balancing burner/brewpot looks like a very painful accident waiting to happen man! Be careful walking around that thing!

Finishing a sample of my columbus simcoe IPA. Have a resin in the on deck circle(pile of snow).

Getting ready to mash in Arcturus, a red giant american barleywine. 12.4% if all goes well. :cross:

I hope the 2 hour boil i have planned doesnt darken it down too much. I am hoping for a ruby red color with nice deep malt flavor and bitterness to balance it all out. About 90 ibus

Be right there.

I'll let you know how my first attempt turns out. The recipe didn't seem daunting at all. Oddly though, before I started to get the dough together, I grabbed my sanitizer and dunked the yeast package. There was no need for that, clearly. I suppose the best habit is to sanitize **** that doesn't need it rather than the other way around.

Drinking water, just to keep in the spirit of the thread.

It might look wobbly but its very sturdy. That burner is almost 50 pounds, but I have it wedged on the edges of the drywall bench and clamped to the bench on the other side. With the weight of the keggle and wort, this is isnt going anywhere unless I tackle it.

Do you have to get on a step ladder for hop additions?

Having a water after having some spicy floccing beef with rice for lunch.

Sounds like a challenge to me. Get on it.

That is downright awesome. How many years are we talking for him to go from Giants 2nd string QB to that? I love watching him move, it's halfway hilarious. If I ever have to describe what it looks like when I move, I'm linking that video!

A store near me has what you're looking for ( Whisk, in Cary, NC). They aren't set up for shipping orders, but if you can't find one, I'm sure we can get one to you. About $22 plus whatever the shipping would be. Made by Chicago Metallic, perforated, nonstick, dual loaf (W shape)
