What are you doing instead of brewing this weekend?

Bottled a RIS I had aging since December, 3 gallons. I haven't bottled a batch since early December, since I started kegging this year. I do NOT miss bottling, at all. Kegging is so much smoother, less messy, less time consuming, and more convenient. Very glad I made the switch.

Planted potatoes and sanded down the old AV cart I am turning into my brew stand. Will mount a burner low left for the boil kettle, one sits on top for mash tun, and I am mounting some heavy duty 500 pound capacity shelf standard and brackets up the right side to hold a shelf over the top for the HLT burner and tank for sparging.

putting on the good son facade and spending time with my parents...and letting dad try some beer

Why do you have to put on a facade to be a "good son"?
I'd love to have my parents around to share some of my home brew!

Mostly a joke - somewhat inside between my family so I can see why it'd be kinda missed here

Navy Reserve weekend. Four left until I retire. No beer in the pipeline, would love to get my weekends back!

Planting garden and recovering from planting garden... and dealing with a skunk. Neighbors cat sprayed in the face, he may be blinded from it(we washed his eyes right away so hope he isn't...). Live trap out with some lettuce, hope I trap him tonight so I can can kill him! Meanwhile my house reeks of skunk because he was sprayed real close to my deck.

Window shopping for a new riding mower because the one I currently own is DOA, and I'm getting tired of busting my knuckles trying to get the POS running.

Took the grandkids summer clothes shopping. I hate shopping but the smiles were worth it. I'll have a long Memorial Day weekend and plan to brew then

building a swingset for my little guy for his birthday, which is tomorrow (Sunday). Also prepping for his birthday party next week. I have a pale ale dry hopped with Cascade that's kegged and ready to go, have to dry hop my CMF IPA (Citra, Mosaic and Falconers Flight) and prep to bottle that next weekend also. Get the pork shoulder for the smoker for the party, figure out the chicken thighs ditto...
and wrangle a couple construction crews around the house - one putting on a deck that should have been finished a month ago, and another doing a painting job that keeps finding issues in and behind the siding...

Nothing....sadly. We were supposed to be in South Dakota camping...but plans got kiboshed last minute. Now I'm doing nothing. And don't have the C60 I needed....

Yup. They weren't playing well regardless of the refs not calling a few penalties. Game 5 should be interesting with 5 guys starting in the penalty box.

Work has been physically and mentally draining... So I'm just relaxing all week end long...wife even mowed the lawn for me.
Its back in the saddle tomorrow. I don't normally take any holidays save Christmas and Thanksgiving's but I'm actually looking forward to Memorial day this year and taking its 3 days off. I'm all wore out.

Drove 3 eight foot long grounds rods for my ham radio towers, ran about 40' total of #6 copper wire tying things back to the main single point ground for the whole house. Now drinking some beer and trying to get the pain level down.

Yikes and I thought my 15x60 garden was big... but I am only feeding myself. Been enjoying sauteed kale and last 2 days had my first fresh picked garden greens salads with radishes. Those first salads are always so dang tasty!

Monday I bottle Phat Tire, otherwise this weekend is kick back, toss ribs on the BBQ, have fun with friends.

Just passed my provincial security guard exam, so I'll be completing the process of applying for a security guard license. Assuming I'm not working the whole time.

Hummm, a few thousand nutjobs like me would disagree with the bolded part...

Maybe best racing in America (I disagree as well) but not much of a spectacle.

Honestly Carb Day is when I watch the cars and whatnot. Tomorrow, I will be in Turn 3 like I do every year. I like watching from the infield. It is a huge party for the most part though. If we arent watching, we have the radio on listening. I'm pulling for Scott Dixon. I know a lot of people are going to Newgarden though.

The Freedom 100 that ran yesterday was pretty intense. Neck and neck across the finish line.
