For your IIPA Midwest shows the OG as 1.088, unless you used less water, this was your OG as it is almost impossible to get that incorrectly, it is easy to get an incorrect reading. By looking at the OG 1.088 and the FG they suggest of 1.042 that would not make an IIPA. Most likely it is a typo and should read 1.024.

You probably did get a good bit of hot alcohol due to the yeast pitch being low, which has been covered.
