I had the good fortune of getting one bottle each of Westvleteren blond, 8, and 12 during a recent trip to Belgium. I drank the bottle of blond and immediately wished I had tried to harvest the yeast.
Does anyone know if it's the same yeast used in the 8 and/or 12? If it is, can I use the yeast from the 8 or 12 to make a clone of the blond, considering the blond is a lower ABV?
