Just started a few months ago. Getting good results and really happy.

For fun, I decided to create my own fictional brand. Following suit with what others have done in here, it was time to create my own label.

My first offering - Problem Child IPA was my first born. Named after getting off to a rough start with my "first born" and taking my own approach, I managed to get a bright, hoppy IPA with a great color and a nice body

also had to create my own label. I know there are real artists out there with a flare for this sort of thing, but I did with what I had. It works for me!

Next to come around is a rye IPA called "little brother" brewing it this weekend.

How many of you guys have treated it like a product brand? What sort of things have you come up with?

Thanks - actually the little dude and the border around him was the creation of my brother-in-law. He sketched it out for me and offere to make a more polished version, but this was already really cool so I kept it as is.

What does it say on either side of the label running up and down? Treehouse Brewing? If so, its tough to read. But the label is nice!

Looks like you took a photograph of the sketch. Try scanning next time (or adjusting your light source) so you don't get a bunch of reflection off of the pencil lines. On the other hand, it makes it look like the label (and not just the design) is hand-drawn, so that's kind've cool.

Probably should scan it - that would improve things. Still a work on progress, the layout is nice IMO, but some improvements are needed.

Also, I believe there is a legit Tree House Brewing...but I dig the label.

Thanks - found that out just now. Name came from the work station I build out of scrap wood from work - table set up for mash and sparge looked like a tree house. Looking to change the name to tree fort. Found a beer called that, but now a brewery (yet)

Made a few tweaks (did not scan yet)

Nice looking beer, same goes for the label too.

If you get a chance, check out the Label subforum - lots of good info there.

You'll see a lot of us make labels. I keep one from each batch taped to my fermentation chamber.
