We had a heck of a wet year so far here in Oklahoma. From March to May we had a little over 40" of rain. I though for sure the four rhizomes I planted would die. Sure enough one did. Two others floated up out of the ground. And the lack of sunshine really stunted their growth.
But these cascades were tough little plants. And they're still alive, although dwarves. The tallest being about five feet tall, and the other two being about three feet.
Today I was checking them, and making sure they weren't too thirsty, when I saw this on the tallest plant. The other two haven't started yet. But this does give me some hope.
