I was at my Aunt and Uncles on Saturday, and strangely enough the topic turned to beer. My Uncle went downstairs and brought up what he thought was a beer engine with the Watneys logo.

It turns out that it isn't a beer engine, but a regular tap. He is moving, and told me that I could have it, as long as I made use of it. In the short term, the tap is much more useful to me than a beer engine would be, though this side of the Atlantic, I would have rather had the engine.

Does anyone know if this can be hooked up still? It looks quite different from the tap I just bought.

Any help is appreciated.

I have read that Watneys is the reason that CAMRA was founded.
They are also in the Monty Python skit about English tourist traps.

Edit: fixed the pics, sorry about that. It isn't an engine, at lest I am 99% sure it isn't.

Those pic links are messed up.
If it is indeed an engine, It'd be very valuable.

They worked for me...

But sadly, I can't tell you what it is - it doesn't appear to be an engine, but those extra 2 line-barbs ? ? ?

*edit* it reminds me of the faucets here: http://www.cdnbev.com/products/faucet.html , at the bottom of the page. Maybe download the catalog (pdf) and see what else they might carry that's similar.

I have no idea what it is or how you'd use it, but it sure is cool looking. Let us know what you end up doing with it.

Thanks for the help guys. I was quite happy to get this, and I will make sure to post pics of the unit it ends up feeding.
