In all the recipes I have seen they say to use 155-170 F water to rinse the specialty grains after steeping and then add to the wort. Would there be problems if rinsing them with room temperature water 70 F? Just so I do not need to heat 2 pots of water??

It is OK to rinse with cooler water.

It can (and often is) argued that hotter water will dissolve and rinse the grains better.

I do pb/pm biab, but I sparge with 170F water. they say it not only rinses more sugars out,but stops enzyme action for clearer beer.
