Just trying to get a little assistance to make sure I don't make a mess of my first batch with RO water. I recently moved and have not yet gotten a water report and its a little rough tasting from the tap so planning on going the RO route until I get that figured out. I have found the water priming thread here https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=198460 I have read through as much as my brain could handle without doing it a time and seeing that the results work. Im using the edworts haus pale ale recipe https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=31793

Total water I will use for this brew is about 8.5 gal, reading the baseline primer of 1 tsp cal cl per 5 gal, I would need slightly over 1 1/2 tsp for my 8.5. Next it says to use 2% sauermalz to the mash. total grain is 10.5 lb or 168oz. 2 % of that is 3.35oz sauermal to mash. Does this sound about right? Would you match the same addition of gypsum as I did for cl chl for a pale ale to help with hop flavor?

Thanks for taking a few mins to look this over. Am I close to where I should be? Would you ad anything else? Im just looking for a good overall water primer option to still be able to brew up a good pale ale.
