I'm a fairly new brewer, I've done 5 brews so far. However, tonight, I accidently spilled some water from my ice bath into my wort while it was cooling.

It wasn't a lot, but did I contaminate it? This was a good recipe, and I was able to get my OG perfectly. It would suck to ruin this batch.

Here was the recipe:

Style: Southern English Brown Ale
Batch: 2.50 galPartial Mash

Characteristics
---------------
Recipe Gravity: 1.062 OG
Recipe Bitterness: 27 IBU
Recipe Color: 35° SRM
Estimated FG: 1.016
Alcohol by Volume: 6.0%
Alcohol by Weight: 4.7%

Ingredients
-----------
Amber LME 3.30 lb, Extract, Extract
Aromatic Malt (Belgian) 0.50 lb, Grain, Mashed
Crystal 120L 0.25 lb, Grain, Mashed
Special "B" (Belgian) 0.75 lb, Grain, Mashed

Northern Brewer 0.50 oz, Pellet, 60 minutes
Styrian Golding 0.25 oz, Pellet, 5 minutes
Styrian Golding 0.25 oz, Pellet, 20 minutes

Notes
-----
Recipe Notes:
Mash - 152F for 60 Min
Mashout - 168F for 10 Min
Sparge - 170F

Batch Notes:

My thought is if your water that you used in the ice bath is not bad tasting, you should be fine, especially if it wasn't a lot. RDWHAHB.

Odds are you will be fine. The water from ones tap is largely clean. Pitch a lot of healthy yeast and they will overpower what ever small about of bugs may have gotten in the wort. No batch of beer is ever 100% free of contamination.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. I am sure it will be fine. When I was doing extract batches, I always topped off with tap water and never had a single issue. Only thing you may have done is water it down a bit (which could be worse than contaminating it ;) )
