I have 2 cans of Cooper's wheat liquid malt extract sitting around. Can't seem to find any recipes that use just liquid malt to make hefeweizen.

I want to turn these two cans into a hefeweizen as soon as possible. Do I use 2 cans for 5 gallons? Do I need to add any dry malt extract? What hops/amount work best of this kind of beer?

How many grams are the cans? That will give you an idea. You're looking for a OG of 1044-1052. I would guess two cans would do it.

Just searched the Cooper's site for you :D, it seems two cans should do a 20 liter batch.

Hops-For a german style hefe it's always best to use noble hops. I think the style calls for 8-15 ibu. So not a lot of hops. Usually only a bittering addition. Some folks add some at 15 as well.
And the yeast is important. I like White labs 300, but the Safale WB 06 can do the job as well.
