I was wondering if there is any problem with putting 2 shanks in the side of a 4912 rather then putting a tower on top of it. My kegerator unfortunately will be on the front patio because the wife thinks its a little out of place in the living room:cross:. Is there any problem with putting the taps on the side?

Unfortunately I believe the coolant lines run along the sides, so if you drill a hole there is a chance of hitting one and ruining the fridge. You could always drill your taps out the front?

I saw a video where a guy put taps on the front door of that model fridge. Sorry I don't have a link. He then put the fridge on a pedestal so he didn't have to bend over so much to get bee.

Ok thanks gentlemen it looks like im going to put the taps on the front seems a bit safer and also will be easier to access.
