start calling microbreweries that still keg their own. the defective 'scrappers' may be available to you at approx. scrap rates.

Have you had success with this? Everyone that I called hung up on me a few years ago, so I eventually gave up and started going this route.

yeah, i got a few kegs doing that. 50 liters, not 15.5 gallons, but dang close enough!
and right in boston, too.
