I agree wholeheartedly. Did you try Decoherence? It was very good, but lacking on coconut and coffee, in my opinion. Honestly, other than Good Nightmare, the best beers on draft were Andall beers.
Yeah, I talked with a buddy who had had Decoherence fresh, and he said the coconut has faded a ton. It was my first time trying it, and while solid, I see what he said was talking about. The Andalls will always be some of the better beers on tap, will be crushing more of the stouts as the weather gets a little cooler here in the Fall.

Yeah, even without the surprise visit from Cigar City, Mekong/Answer would have been one of the best beer stops I've ever made. Hell, even if the taplist wasn't a quarter as extensive, the pho alone was worth the trip. It's up there with Lord Hobo, Threepenny, Map Room, and Blue Palms.

Please... don't put Lord Hobo on a list like this.... :(

As bmh_the_1legend & brother_kenneth will tell you, Roanoke has the Flying Mouse which will blow up soon!

On a side note, Veil & The Answer are both really good spots. Also hit up the Lynnhaven Pub if you are out at the beach.
Thanks for the tag, Dan! But yeah to follow his statement, FM is on the brink of exploding on the craft beer scene. Here's their brown ale I had a couple weeks ago:

Pretty sure that was the worst brown ale i've ever had. No offense if you guys aren't joking.

Flying Mouse is the best brewery that Virginia has to offer. *

Does Trickery usually see some distro after the release?
Yes (at least for B2, as it was significantly bigger than B1). Hardywood indicated this batch is roughly the same as last year, and that batch hit distro through VA. The 5800 bottles are what Hardywood is selling strictly at the brewery. I'd venture to guess that there are a fair amount going into distro. Want to say last year was like 6500 total bottles, maybe a bit more.

Sweet thanks Shilt!

surprised how many people even here in VA have not heard of/been to Pen Druid out in Sperryville (about 30 minutes northwest of Culpeper). probably the most unique brewery in VA right now.
pretty much only wild/farmhouse/coolship type ales (they are in their 2nd season with their coolship so those beers only just started coming out relatively recently)

On life support. Had to set up a trade of HF Anna for one of his homebrews just to get to drink some beers with him. It has come to that :( LYMI, Nic!
all will become clear in another month or so young padawan ;) and then I'll be even BUSIER/less available

Reintroduce yourself by coming to the TB anniversary

And bring Shilt with you
as I posted on that thread today, I was already planning a VT trip in April, but at the end of the month. will have to look things over to see if I can get early April instead

Oddly enough this coincides with my Spring Break this year. Unfortunately, the wife (mainly her) and I booked a trip to Chicago two months back for April 8th-11th to go see Hamilton. I have the WORST timing :(
sounds like SARAH has the wurst timing!

I would be down for this if you want to do a mid week trip, when I get back :)
