Purchasing A 1958 Philco refrigerator and want to turn it into a kegerator wonder if anybody can give me any advice where to start I’ve never done this before thanks

Man that looks rough, hope the mechanicals are in better shape than the finish. Maybe start by removing and stabilizing the rust situation, though I wouldn't bother with a nice paint job until everything else is done and it's working perfectly. Nice find! What'd you pay for it?
 
Paid $100 everything works gets ice cold and it’s just surface rust, no rust through spots. Definitely going to change the insulation first always my first step
 
Here is a 1956 VMC Pepsi machine I did last year I will post a completed pic later when I get home.

That is ultra cool. I can't wait to see pictures of both of those projects. And here I thought my Kelvinator fridge was cool (circa 1993)...haha.
 
At the risk of stating the obvious..... they sure don't make things like they used to.
Amazing this still runs. Beats my 1950's Coolerator that made it to 1995.
Looking forward to pics.
 
It started "classic fading red", then it was primed gray then finished in a lovely blue.
Looking forward to seeing it finished...
