Vinegary Smell = Good pH Levels?

Hey guys! first time poster here, I've been meaning to brew kombucha since the beginning of this year now I'm finally taking the plunge! I've also been talking my friends ears off so I figured I'd join a forum. I have so many questions, but I'll start with one for now~~

I've been brewing a batch of booch for about 4 days, and it's smelling a lot like vinegar. Is this a good indicator of an ideal pH level? Am I jumping to conclusions here?
